For those people really interested in making some real money with the Auction House in World of Warcraft, it’s vital to set up an alternate character and split up the work load of questing, leveling and traveling with selling and buying in a major city. You’ll need to learn how to figure out what is worth gold and what isn’t. There are a lot of items on the market that fluctuate in value constantly. If you take the necessary time and energy to learn which ones are worth the energy and time to search for, you’ll find that you can corner the market on them. When you’ve found an item with high demand and limited supply, it’s time to start picking up as many of the item as you can. Find bargain prices of that item in the Auction House or go out and Farm for it, then turn around and sell it for market price in the Auction House. This is the basic formula of buying low and selling high, but can be taken to different levels by using two characters.

Now, with every item found Green or better in the field by your Main that they cannot use, send it to your Alternate and sell it in the Auction House. Almost everything can sell and you haven’t done anything to buy those items…you’ve just found regular items while questing. However, some green items won’t sell and if that’s the case, don’t repost them too many times; it’s a waste of time.

Every day when you log on, you simply logon to your Alternate character and check the markets to see what is available and what’s selling well. This way, while you’re questing with your main character you can keep an eye out for those items.

As you get to a higher level you will find the missions become more complex and can take an hour or two to complete. This however is the best way to seriously start power levelling in Wow and you will find that completing the missions is more interesting and you receive the most XP.

Which ever way you choose to start power levelling in Wow is up to you and each of the methods above have their pros and cons.

Just killing monsters can get tedious and take a lot of time, and just doing missions can quite difficult and therefore is more frustrating in the later levels of the game.

Another way you can start power levelling in Wow is to use a process called “twinking” and you do this by running two separate characters which gives you access to items and spells on your second character that would normally not be available for such a low level character.

As an example you could add extra weapons or armour to your low level character which would make them much stronger and therefore a lot harder to kill!

If you use “Twinking” in conjunction with the power levelling methods mentioned above, it can enable a level 10 character to take on monsters that are 5-10 levels above and defeat them, therefore power levelling you faster and giving you more XP.

So when you go out grinding for gold, remember that you downtime is going to be a major hurdle to the gold you collect. So you are interested in World of Warcraft farming, a very important subject really. WoW farming allows you to gain experience, gold, and even the occasional rare, or better yet, epic item. Still, just running about blindly attempting to find monsters is a recipe for disaster; that would be why you are reading this article right now. Actually, efficient farming is happy farming. Otherwise it is as dull as watching paint dry. With that in mind, here are a few tips to increase your farming efficiency and income.

A few things first, don't even head out of town before you've gathered a few nice materials/items. Depending on how much spare cash you have you might be able to do without some equipment/items. Just straight farming is still possible with minimal supplies, especially with some specific classes that I'll mention later.

Now, for in-town farming for levels 30-60 or so a stack of trolls blood potions can be very nice; the regen really speeds things up over time. Beyond that a few spellpower or agility/strength/health boosting potions can be very useful, if not lifesavers.

Once you are properly equipped you need to find a suitable farming spot; not just any little group of monsters will do. Two key things to look for are: 1- high rate of respawn and 2- high rate of XP per kill. You have to be careful, though, if the rate of respawn is too high you will get adds every fight, which is deadly.

Determine the XP per kill based upon how long each kill takes and how much health/mana you lose. Even if a monster seems to give a nice amount of XP, taking all those other factors into account, it may actually be slowing you down. Additionally, some areas possess multiple types of the same monster. One may be very easy to kill while another is quite annoying and/or slow to kill. So basically, just make sure to keep notes of your gains, either that or get one of the many modifications that provide easy measurement of XP per hour, such as Titan panel, etc. As a general rule, areas with green and/or yellow monsters are great AoE spots for mages and warlocks, whereas I'd hit pure yellow spots for the single/two mob grinders, like warriors, hunters, and such.

Finally, and probably one of the most important things really, if you happen to be on a PvP server (like I am) you are going to want to watch out for PKer's, other gold farmers, and a whole slew of different types of people who can interfere. Really, if the spot doesn't possess enough of a spawn for two people it is probably better just to leave rather than enter into a war over the zone. Leaving is probably better XP overall and it also doesn't earn you any enemies.

The gear you obtain from quests and grinding will be sufficient enough in many cases. I've leveled to 60 several times casually and for time and I've come to realize that I would rather get to level 60 and save all of my money for epic items....because let's face it.. Level 60 or the highest level in the game is where you will spend most of your time.

Tip#2

Don't overlook money making tradeskills:

There are just some tradeskills you can use on your journey to Level 60 that will reward you handsomely for little or no effort.

Enchanting (for disenchant) - Disenchanting is commonly overlooked for those players who wish to grind their way to riches. A common habit is that players sell their green items or worse yet, there old rare items to vendors for what can be a significant amount less cash than if you were to disenchant and sell the materials on the auction house.

Skinning - With the number of people grinding to 60 as fast as possible many of them don't have enough time to do tradeskills on the way. What you can do is gather supplies for these people and sell it to them at the auction house for a good chunk of money. You will most likely be killing beasts anyways and looting them; what is 3 more seconds of skinning going to hurt?

Other gathering skills that have an immediate benefit are things such as herbalism, mining, and (gathering cloth for tailors).

Tip#3

Focus on an area:

It will only take but a few seconds to review all of your quests and make an optimized route to do all of them efficiently so why not take the time? You will notice that while grinding in particular areas there will be several quests that can be done at the same place or at a place very close. Don't spend time traveling from one quest area, finishing quests, and then running all the way back to town to turn them in when you could have went 50 feet in another direction to finish another grouping of quests. I continuously find myself identifying quests that belong to areas and then drawing a loop through them that allows for me to be closest to town as possible when I finish the last of the quests. Also don't overlook resetting your hearth to the area you are questing in; some zones are so large that hearthing can save a lot of time. Frequently changing locations while searching for the "best" area to grind out a complete level can oftentimes lead to frustration and be inefficient. If you take into consideration the time it takes to find this "better" area for leveling you will notice that by staying at the original place you may have finished the level off quite a bit earlier.

You can also use elemental exiles on the southwest area of Arathi Highlands for elemental earths, which is also the same 1-3 WoW gold per earth on AH. How to farm gold in WoW is to farm in Arathi Highlands for 30 npcs of 2-6 silver each on 3-5 minute spawn timers. Times are not often camped. You could easily generate 1-5 WoW gold – even more if you are an AOE class. You can also farm in Arathi Highlands, as the alliance only, for 30-40 npcs of 2-6 silver each on 3-5 minute spawn timers. These timers are also not often camped. You could easily generate 1-5 WoW gold an hour. How to farm gold WoW? You can enter the secret scarlet monastery graveyard, in tristfall glades northwest corner of the map. This will get you a good 2 silver to 6 silver kill. Nevertheless, an AOE class can easily farm and reset the instance for outstanding 30-60 WoW gold in an hour.

Another way of how to farm gold in WoW, is to farm Warpwoods and Deadwoods for about 2-10 silver, rare herb drops. These sell around 1-5 WoW gold each. Living Essence sells for 1-1.5 WoW gold each at the Auction House. On the north side of Felwood zone near the alliance flight parth person, Warpwoods are located. The Deadwoods can be located just southwest of where the Warpwoods are. An easy 40-80 WoW gold an hour depending on AH prices. If you know how to farm gold in WoW and if you have faster dps class, then you can easily double your WoW gold per hour. Twilight hammer elites in Searing Gorge, is another way to farm. These elites are located west of the alliance/horde flight points. This is an easy 3-5 mageweave cloth per drop, and somewhere around 2silver to16silver per kill, with 9/10 silver, being the most common drop. You can undoubtedly make 10 WoW gold per hour off coin drops and around 5-20 WoW gold p/hour for the green and mageweave drops.

There are many more ways of how to farm gold in WoW. Farm the stockades in Stormwind City for easy greens and wool. It’s the best dungeon/instance to farm wool cloth because every other kill is worth 3-5 pieces of wool and there are about 100 NPCs in the instance. Don’t be alarmed when I tell you that a stack of wool can go from 77silver to 2 WoW gold at the AH. Try farming the scarlet monastery chests and locked chests for large knapsacks. These sell for 1.25-2 WoW gold. Occasionally, you will get a Blue item instead of Knapsacks. You usually get them once every 11th locked chest. Also, focus on the graveyard library and armory. NOT THE CATHEDRAL! Then you could easily get about 8 locked chests an hour and 10 regular ones. For this you’d need a rouge to lock pick or use blacksmithing and use Golden Skeleton Keys. This will require a 150 blacksmith skill.

One of the most important parts of playing the World of Warcraft economy is evaluating items. You have to be an expert at placing a monetary value on an item so that you can figure out how to sell it for the greatest profit. An item value is dependent on three factors: Level, Rarity (supply), and Usefulness (demand).

There are actually two different level scales of items. The first is based on World of Warcraft's color coded item rarity system. You may think that this color system would determine the rarity of an item, but it really doesn't. So here's a summary of what each type of item is worth:

Poor Quality: These items are not worth selling in the auction house. Sell any of these items directly to an NPC if you can't use them.

Common Quality: These items are once again not worth selling in the auction house. Dispose of them at your nearest NPC.

Uncommon Quality: These items have a chance at selling at an auction house. It depends how useful they are. These are great items to sell to lower level characters in your Alliance specific auction house.

Rare Quality: Now we are getting somewhere. Most of these items are worth selling at the auction house.

Epic: Many of these items will go for over 100 gold. If you have one of the most useful and rare Epic items you may consider putting it up for auction in Gadgetzan. I have seen certain Epic items for over 1,000 gold in extreme cases.

The two missing sections of color coded level are Legendary & Artifact. As these items enter the game and become more prominent this will be updated to go over the changes. For now, little is known about them.

The second form of level ranking is an item's level requirement. A level requirement is the level your character has to be at or above to use a certain item. This is an attempt to prevent "twinking" (giving powerful high level gear to low level characters).

They employ a team of people to monitor the games economy, and if they find some players are making huge amounts of gold and are causing prices to come down, then they will ban those accounts.

So in conclusion, if you are a normal WoW player, you should definitely stick to investing a strategy guide or buying gold rather than trying out hacks and exploits. It definitely worked a couple of years ago but not now.

In this article I'm going to explain how to get gold in wow. One of my biggest goals in wow was to get an epic flying mount. Some of my peers had them and told me how fun it is flying around the Outlands. I was so jealous and needed to have one too, so I worked my butt off farming and saving as much gold as I could. I eventually had enough saved and finally got my epic mount. Listed are some of the farming spots I used to help collect the gold I needed.

Solid Spots To Farm

Stranglethron Value - You should aim at farming Ironjaw Basiliks in this area. These guys are great because they have a pretty good drop rate. You can take the vendor trash these guys drop and also skin them for their thick and heavy leather. You can find them in a cave called Crystalve Mine.

Winterspring - There are a lot of monster you can farm in this area such as Frostmaul Giants in the Frostwhisper Gorge. I'll caution you that they are pretty difficult to kill (level 59-60 elites). They are definitely worth the work though because they drop a recipe for Greater Frost Protection Potion which can be sold for around 50 pieces of gold! Another great place to farm is Darkwhisper Gorge where you can find demons such as Hedrine Slayer. These guys are pretty tough to kill (60 elites) so be prepared! For the obvious reason, clicking buttons with the mouse requires not only quick decision-making, but also hand eye coordination. For players who bind their keys they only have to worry about choosing their next ability, and then simply they let the second nature finger-to-keyboard reaction take care of the rest.

The fewer abilities you have to click the better, binding all your abilities to hotkeys is crucial. For most of us, your left hand rests on the keyboard, positioned on home row. This should be your starting base for all your key bindings. Q, W, E, A, S, D by default are all your movement keys, even though you'll primarily be using the mouse to move and change camera angles, having these keys bound to their original functions is important so you can continue moving while switching targets (since Tab target is hopelessly broken). As your mouse will be your primary camera angle adjuster you may choose to move your strafe keys from Q and E to A and D, thus opening up additional easy binds.

Patch 1.7 saw the opening of Zul'Gurub, the game's first 20-player raid dungeon where players faced off against an ancient tribe of jungle trolls under the sway of the ancient Blood God, Hakkar the Soulflayer. Upon engaging Hakkar, players were stricken by a debuff (a spell that negatively affects a player) called "Corrupted Blood" which would periodically sap their life.
