In the game world of warcraft there are nine character classes that the player chooses from. There are some class restrictions based on race, so not every class is available for every race. While each class in world of warcraft has their own set of unique abilites and talents they are all generally available to the enire class. In every class there is a set of 3 talent trees. Now depending on the class you choose you can build your character's talent trees for damage-dealing ( DPS ), healing, tanking or maybe all of these.
Also in world of warcraft there are classes known as "hybrid classes". These are able to perform different roles depeniding on your groups needs.
